Using your Personal Podcast URL with iTunes

Using iTunes and your personal Podcast URL it is quick and easy to download your recordings on to your computer or iPod.

Follow these simple steps to add your Podcast URL to iTunes

  1. Login to your Spokentext account
  2. Click on Podcast in the left hand menu
  3. Click on your Personal Podcast URL
  4. If you are using FireFox, you might be asked if you would like to launch iTuens if so click Launch Application
  5. iTunes will open
  6. Click on Podcasts in iTuens to see your personal SpokenText podcast. It wil be named — SpokenTexT Podcast —

Note: You only have to do this once. iTunes will automatically find your new recordings if you right click the SpokenText Podcast and select “Update Podcasts”

How to record text you enter yourself

Spokentext.net allows you to just copy and paste text in to the site. Or type the text in direclty. This way you can quickly record small chunks of text.

To get started:

  1. Login to to your Spokentext.net account
  2. Click on the Creat a new recording button
  3. Select a the Enter text to recorde tab
  4. Enter a Recording Name
  5. Type or copy and paste the text you want recorded into the Text to Convert text field.
  6. Click the Recordbutton

That’s it!

You can now watch the status of your recording on the View Recordigns page as it is being created. And you will receive an email when your recording is ready for download.

To record more text just hit the back button in your browsers or click on New Recording in the left hand menu.

How to record a web page

To record a web pagee follow these simple steps:

  1. Login to to your Spokentext.net account
  2. Click on the Creat a new recording button
  3. Select a the Record a Web Page tab
  4. Enter a Recording Name
  5. Enter thefull URL for the web page you want to convert
  6. Click the Recordbutton

That’s it!

You can now watch the status of your recording on the View Recordigns page as it is being created. And you will receive an email when your recording is ready for download.

To record another web site just hit the back button in your browsers or click on New Recording in the left hand menu.

How to record a Microsoft PowerPoint file

To record a Microsoft PowerPoint file follow these simple steps:

  1. Login to to your Spokentext.net account
  2. Click on the Creat a new recording button
  3. Click the Browse button
  4. Locate the Microsoft PowerPoint file you want to record
  5. Click the Open Button
  6. Click the Record button

That’s it!
